Good news members!
Once we have approval from ACTA for insurance coverage, Melbourne Gun Club is planning to open on Saturday 23rd of May and Sunday 24th of May for a trial run of practice only.
This will be under some strict terms and conditions and we will appreciate your co-operation in making this work. If this works we will continue again for Saturday 30th
We are awaiting for the VCTA to have their meeting on Friday 15th of May to provide more information but the basis of the practice days will be as follows –
4 blocks of 1.5hr will be available each day:
9:00am - 10:30am
11:00am - 12:30pm
1:00pm - 2:30pm
3:00pm - 4:30pm
* Each session will be restricted to the legal limit of 10 only.
* Pre-booking online via Try Booking only (not via phone or facebook). A link will be emailed to all members and also put on our facebook page. If you have not given your email address to the club please email info@melbournegunclub.com
* If you have no booking PLEASE do not attend!!
* All shooters will need to sign an agreement with their contact details, time they are at the club and that they are suffering no symptoms of COVID 19 or flu like symptoms. Each person will also have to agree to a temperature check and also sign that they agree to take full responsibility of their health while on the grounds. MGC will reserve the right to refuse entry of anyone who we believe has a fever or flu like symptoms. If you are ill PLEASE STAY HOME!!!
* All payments for tokens will be eftpos tap and go only – NO CASH TRANSACTIONS
* Everyone to maintain 1.5m distance when at the club
* Skeet, DTL & Trench will be available and possibly 5 Stand (TBC for 5 stand)
* Hand sanitiser to be available on all layouts. Please sanitise your hands regularly after using token boxes etc
* Club house to be out of bounds - the bottom doors near the toilets will be open for toilet access only, we will rope the entrance into the main club room area at the toilet end off. We will also only have limited toilets to be used as these will need to be cleaned and sanitised after each session
* Committee at the front gate will let the shooters in who have registered and then lock gate once all registered shooters are inside for that session.
* All empties MUST be placed in the bins by respective shooters to avoid others having to hand pick them up afterwards. Failure to put empties in the bin could see you not be welcome to any further practice days under these conditions.
* Areas in nomination room to be marked with a X for people to stand 1.5m behind each other when paying
* No food or drink to be purchased all shooters must bring their own
* All token boxes. Microphone switches, door handles etc to be given a wipe over after each group
* Shooters can shoot as many rounds as they can within their allotted time however as soon as their time is finished they MUST vacate the grounds immediately!!! We take no responsibility to provide a refund for any unused targets in token machines. All traps will be turned off at the allotted finish time.
* STRICTLY MELBOURNE GUN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY
* Shooters to arrive 10 mins before their allotted time to drop paperwork in, have temp check and pay for tokens (tokens will also be cleaned and sanitized after each session)
We will be submitting our proposal to the ACTA shortly to get the green light to make all this happen but the above will be our plan.
Please keep an eye out for when we post the online booking link and again thank you for your co-operation during this crazy time. If we all work in together we can make this work fine!!
