Results 200 Target ISSF trap 26th-27th October 2019

What an amazing weekend at MGC!!!

We had our official opening of the 3rd ISSF Trench layout that attracted 81 shooters. This totally blew us away. Entries came from QLD, NSW and even New Zealand!!

The entries included what we think could be a record 35 C grade shooters!!! Simply amazing to see so many new people enjoying their first goes at trench. We apologise we couldnt have put better weather on for you.

Alot of hard work went into this event ensuring everything ran smoothly and a big thank you to all of MGC committee and members for helping out over the weekend.

Our official opening we had selected a few of our club members who have put time on the committee in the past and present and have helped ISSF events run at the club.

The opening squad consisted of Peter Wray (1976 Olympic Team member and committee member who ran all our trench in the 90's at the club), Lynden McKeon (current committee member, former president and trap mechanic keeping all our traps running), Noel Bienvenue (who has been a great help with all our ISSF events helping the scoreboards etc) and Jack Henwood (former World Championship Team member who the last 20 years has helped Craig set targets and run trench events as well as long time committee member).

It was great to see all the guys hit at least a couple of targets to the cheers of the crowd.

A big thank you to Judith Kent for her tireless work on the scoreboard and to Chloe and Alex in the office for helping everything run as smooth as it did.

Thank you also to Bronze Wing Australia and NSI Australia for their sponsorship in Ammunition for winners. Collumbo Shooting for sponsoring the Veterans. Moama Echuca Florist for sponsoring the Ladies prize, Craig Henwood for sponsoring the Juniors and Judith Kent Vincent Mollica for sponsoring the Para Trap prize.

And thank you to all shooters for their support in making this a great shoot and congratulations to all the winners. This event was shot in conjunction with the Jean and Peter Wray Trench Cup to pay thanks for the hard work both Peter and his wife Jean contributed to ISSF at not only MGC but Australia wide. It was great to have Pete there to present the cup to Mitch Iles after a dominant performance in the final.
