Results – ISSF Yarra Valley Grand Prix

What a great weekend of ISSF Shooting was had at our club on the weekend!!!
After a successful 3 Day DTL shoot the weekend before it was a quick turn around to have the layouts all set back for ISSF Trap with all the DTL houses and machines removed and Layout 3 in front of the club house to have the final repairs done to have it ready for competition. Paul Schroeter working overtime to get this job done early Friday morning! Thanks Paul!
3 squads of Skeet and 14 squads of Trap contested the events with Skeet being held over the Friday-Saturday 1st to 2nd March and Trap held on the Saturday and Sunday 2nd to 3rd March. Thanks must go to Shooting Australia and all the officials and volunteers for making the event run. This event being the final domestic nomination event for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Weather started out Friday morning in perfect conditions for the first round and some great scores were coming in. That’s as far as the perfect weather went with overcast skies and tricky breezes picking up for the rest of the days! The changing light proving very tricky.

Thank you to the Melbourne Committee and Members who helped out during the event it was greatly appreciated.
After a busy start to the year we can now settle down for some regular programming. One of the toughest things about being a large multi discipline club that regularly holds large events for all discipline’s is at times it is necessary to close other layouts while other events take place. We thank our members and guests for their understanding if their chosen discipline is ever unavailable at certain times.
We look forward to again hosting the Yarra Valley Grand Prix in 2025.
