A ripper day at MGC on Saturday 7th of February, the place was buzzing. 100 shooters on the ground for the days event's PLUS a corporate day had everyone busy!!!
With the weather as perfect as it gets the mercury hit a warm 34 degrees, but with the cool breeze made it comfy to shoot.
We also hosted MCC for a team shoot over the 50tgt Double Barrel which MCC defeated MGC to take home the cricket bat. Well done MCC Clay Target Club!
First event for the DTL was a 25tgt Point Score and it was Andrew Brady recording the only clean score with 75/75 well done Andrew!

4 shooters shot the 25/25 clean turning the Laporte Grand Prix 24 Clays to balls of white smoke. A lengthy shoot off was held and it came down to Roger Esplin and Michael Engel who both shot another full round. Into the next bracket they went with Roger taking the spoils.

DB was shot in 2 visits of 25, and 4 shooters shot clean with a 50/50 on the board, and the shoot off got under way. It was great to see young Kye McDonnell achieve his first ever 75 break!! Well done Kye. But it was again Andrew Brady taking the OA honours from Stephen Incani with 103 straight.

Over on the UT layouts you could tell a World Championship was about to be held as the scores were as high as we have ever seen them!! Nathan Cassells a well shot 99/100; Danny DiPietro 98/100; Catherine Skinner and Craig Henwood a 97/100 and Todd Malone a 96/100 all world class scores.

Next weekend we have DTL Competition with 50tgt Points and 50tgt DB as well as UT practice available on all 4 layouts. Please note there will be no Skeet or 5 Stand practice next Saturday as we begin the 44th World Championships for Universal Trench!!!
