A great weekend of shooting at the club this weekend saw a very busy MGC with 90 shooters competing in the National UT Title. In addition, both DTL and Skeet practice was available over the 2 days.
This caps off what has been a very very busy 12 weeks at the club with major events in all disciplines, after being flooded in late October 2022.
It started with our NYE flood recovery shoot of 25 squads of DTL! We then hosted 20 squads of Skeet for the State Skeet Titles for 4 days over the Australia Day Weekend. The fun didn’t stop there though the next week we hosted 15 squads of ISSF Trap for the Yarra Valley ISSF Grand Prix. This then lead to 33 squads for the MAIT Yarra Valley DTL Classic at the end of February, and of course another 15 squads this weekend for Universal Trench.
Thank you goes to all our VOLUNTEER committee and workers for making these events happen!! Events such as these raise important revenue for our club to help us recover and rebuild from the damage that had occurred, which involved a lot of work, so we thank you all!
Next weekend being Easter we are closed on GOOD FRIDAY and open for Practice only on Saturday 8th April 10am - 4pm (please note no Cafe available on Saturday), while a number of our committee and staff spend Easter with their families.
But don’t despair we will be back on April 22nd with DTL & Skeet events and April 29th with DTL & ISSF Trench!!
