UT Results – Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd April

Well what can we say!!
What a fantastic finish for our 2023 Perazzi Australia National Universal Trench Championships.
A full house of 90 shooters took to the tracks at the Melbourne Gun Club with Saturday being cold and overcast with tough conditions and Sunday almost perfect 22 degrees and not a cloud in the sky and not a breath of wind!!
The grounds were looking immaculate, the targets perfect, amazing food from the cafe and the car park full of people taking advantage of the great camping facilities at the club, ensured one of the best atmosphere’s experienced at a shoot in a long long time!
Proudly sponsored by PERAZZI AUSTRALIA for the 9th year and supported this year by FXD CREATIVE (Dave & Brooke DePedro) we were all set with some amazing prizes to be had!!
A great night was had at the club on Saturday night with Gerald & Jaeng staying back to do meals, the bar open until late and the footy on the big screen saw a lot of shooters take advantage of the extra hours sleep they would (or wouldn’t) receive with daylight savings ending.
At the end of the 200tgts we saw some amazing scores recorded with Matt Schiller, Nathan Argiro and Mitchell Iles all tied on 193/200 to shoot off for the overall! After 25tgts all 3 shooters were tied and continued on to single barrel miss and out.  Mitch was the first to miss leaving Nathan and Matt to continue to shoot another 21 targets straight until a victor could be found.

Congratulations Matt Schiller on another National UT Title!!
Alexis Preston dominated the woman’s event from the beginning and kept it up all the way thru! Lexi is 32 weeks pregnant with her first child . Great shooting Alexis 187/200 is a fantastic score!!
Lucas Furlan in the juniors also had a great weekend backing up his win from the week before. Lucas put some great rounds together to be only 1 tgt shy of the OA shoot off shooting a fantastic 192/200. Amazing shooting Lucas well done!!
Martin Collumb continued his dominance in the Seniors category to record yet another National UT Title to his name! Martin is a great support of UT and it’s well deserved. Martin shot 183/200
In the Veterans category it was John Wojcik who took the honours after a close battle. John shot a great score of 181/200
