Saturday we had 8 squads of shooters compete for the day's DTL events with 4 events of 25tgts on the menu.
We also played host to the AUSSIE Team who were running a training camp on our grounds before they head off to Doha to compete in the World Cup. Good Luck guys we hope the camp all went well!!
Event 1 was a 25tgt Point Score and Rob Nash got the day off to a great start recording the only possible 75/75!! Well done Rob! Leni Harrison shooting in B grade for the first time shot a great score of 74/75 for her first B grade win, and Alex DeBono also had a great event taking C grade.
Event 2 was a 25tgt Single Barrel and another clean round by Rob Nash saw him shoot off with 3 others. It came down to Rob and Lou Primavera and after a further 13 tgts Rob took out another win!! Leni and Alex also again taking B & C grade respectively.
Event 3 - 25tgt Double Barrel and yep you guessed it Rob Nash shot them again however this time he wasn't able to go on and win the shoot off. Greg Hunt took the honours from Roger Esplin, with Paul Haslam taking A grade, Leni again taking B grade (A grade won't be far off Leni), and the C grade being a battle of the Veterans with Bill Hailes outlasting Tom McGrath with 30/31.
Event 4 - 25tgt Handicap and new club Treasurer Darryl Johnston took the honours with the only 25/25 from 21 metres! 2nd place went to Matt Koncewicz 28/29, and 3rd place went to Stephen Incani 27/29. Darryl took home a slab of Bronze Wing Australia
