Vale Jim Turner

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we learn the passing of Jim Turner.

A life member of our club Jim was well known throughout the shooting fraternity not only as a dedicated Skeet shooter but also a true gentleman of our sport.

Nothing was ever too much for Jim be it helping out at Come & Try, introducing a new member to the Skeet grounds, helping out with any welding that needed to be done and of course the best chef MGC has ever had on his famous spits he would bring to the club every time a dinner was supplied.

During the Covid break Jim along with Lynden spent many hours welding brackets to install our new DTL trap houses. The amount of work done was enormous and simply could not have been done without both of their efforts.

Jim you will be sadly missed by us all and will never be forgotten! Our thoughts go out to all Jim’s family and close friends. We know he will be wearing the flashiest sneakers on the range in the layout up in the sky!!!
